The Orchid House of Santa Barbara is a stylish SBCC Student Residence Hall located right across the street from the college in West Beach Santa Barbara. This beautiful student boarding house is nestled among lush gardens and adjacent to the historical landmark of the Fernald Mansion and the Trussell-Winchester Adobe, which is the first house in Santa Barbara. Our gated off campus living consists of two main buildings with fully furnished apartments: the Victorian House and the Carriage House. It offers a safe, private, cozy and relaxing environment; yet, it is just across the street from SBCC College, three blocks from the Santa Barbara Harbor, the beautiful West Beach, Lead better Beach and the Marina. It is also about three blocks from the bustling State Street with the main Public Library, the historical and art museums, shops, restaurants and theaters. It is also walking distance from the Santa Barbara Amtrak train station.

Share your college dorm room with other students and make new friends. Enjoy living at our SBCC Residence Hall right across from Santa Barbara City College. You will also love to be so close  to downtown and the beach. And for the SBCC athletes –  you get a little workout by walking up the steps to SBCC.

Our student accommodation consist of 8 luxury rooms, a beautiful communal lounge, a stylish dining room and a media room, all designed to make our students’ life as comfortable as their own home. Safety & Security

At the Orchid House residence, for the students safety , we have 24 hour video surveillance. After 10:00pm all the property gates are closed. Students get in and out with their key. There is also adult supervision 24 hours a day on the property.
